Privacy Policy

Fling doesn’t collect your data. What you send goes straight from one device to another.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

The short version

What you send

When you fling a photo, video, file, text, link or contact, it goes directly from the sending device to the receiving device over Bluetooth and your local network. It is end-to-end encrypted, so only the two devices involved can read it. It never passes through a server run by us or anyone else.

Fling only sends to devices you have paired with. Pairing happens once, in person, by confirming that both devices show the same code.

What stays on your device

Fling keeps a few things on your device so it can work. None of it is sent to us.

Deleting Fling removes this data from that device.

Permissions

Link previews

When a link is flung, the device shows a preview with the page’s title and image. To build it, your device loads that page directly from the website, the same way your browser would. Fling doesn’t route that request through any server of its own.

Children

Fling doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
